Over 20 years ago your bravery to go against the crowd at 6 years old encouraged me in ways that still resounds in my spirit today. During an icebreaker you went against the grain when 109 girls stood on the NO side and you stood alone on the YES side. The question asked was would you bring a weapon to school if you were being bullied. You answered that your voice is the weapon you would bring. Thank you for reminding me that my voice is a weapon.
On this day for dreamers, this MLK Day where we are reminded of his dream for us, I am grateful for living 25 years of a dream of girls and women. The next phase is our home for women and girls. Watch for the details in the future.
